Osasuna-Espanyol, to be or not to be ( part II )
C.A. Osasuna-R.C.D.Espanyol is the game for this weekend at an unusual time and day, this afternoon-evening, on Saturday, at 6.00 p.m. in the Reyno de Navarra Stadium.
The rivals, “El Espanyol", have improved their style since a few weeks ago, but only in hteir games home, as against Almeria or Zaragoza, but that sensation is different away ( their last victory was on 19th September against Coruña, last week Osasuna's rival and in Champions position now, 2-3 ). Osasuna haven't won in the Reyno since their confrontation against Atletico (3-0 ) on 18th October last year now. Anyway, if Pochettino's team wins at the Reyno they will stay in a comfortable situation in the League.
Both teams are similar in their play style, as Pochettino had Camacho as his coach, and probably there will be more midfield fight than approaching to the rival goals. Besides, there haven't been many goals for both teams in their last confrontations, but Osasuna is pressed because their position in the League and Espanyol may be a direct rival to avoid relegation in the end of the League.
Last season result was 1-0 for Osasuna players and the situation was pretty different, as that result relegated Pochettino's team to the last positions in the League. Now both teams are lack of scoring goals and their forwards are under the supporters-eye. Daniel Osvaldo is the new player for Espanyol after the opening of the so-called "mercado invernal", and Osasuna just left Portillo leave the club after his low expectations. Another famous player in Espanyol is Tamudo, but it seems he's in Pochettino's black list since a lot of months ago, and he can't also use other players as Forlin or Verdú, injured, or Luis Garcia, due to yellow card accumulation.
On the other hand, Osasuna is the other coin's side. There are two matches in the Reyno this week. Last Wednesday Osasuna played for a place in 1/4 Final of Copa del Rey, and they got it against Hercules F.C.. As you know, I talked about that game and titled as "to be or not to be", and finally we were relief thanks to the final result and classification for next leg, but relaxed and confident aren't usual adjectives for Osasuna supporters when they watch their team home, and we need those feelings to face next Copa match against Racing and forget probelms in the League. It will depend on today's match result!
Gora Osasuna! Aupa Rojillos!
