Osasuna and a new year for the blog

Good evening, dear Osasunists! Here I am again, and it has been a long time since I didn't write a blog article about Osasuna and its life in Second Division. I have to admit that it isn't easy to write about a club that day after day comes out with dark news about its futureand nobody there seems to handle and lead a new management. Besides, the former chairmen and their executive committees may not have to pay for their misfunctioning and how they led their club and their budgets.

Football is the main topic for me in this blog, apart from English topic to learn at school. And I am going to write article about football and Osasuna, but with other purposes and there will not be weekly article as I used to do when Osasuna was on First Division. One of the reasons is my difficulties to follow Osasuna and the timetables of the matches, and another one the structure of my articles with videos about past games which are not in any videoteca.

But this evening Osasuna and Tenerife play at El Sadar stadium and there is a large history of confrontations between both clubs. They are in a complicated situation in Second Division, which is very well known for the island team. Depending on the result tonight, Osasuna may occupy Tenerife post in the relegation posts of second division.

Osasuna must win this game after losing three games in a row and their forwards didn't score on them. It is the ninth game of the championship and there is a sense of urgencies in the supporters of our team. It seems that the defense is to be blamed as the statistics say Osasuna goalkeepers take two goals every game.

It is true that Jordan Loties and Oier Sanjurjo are injured, and Javier Flaño is sanctioned for tonight match, but the rest of the players must do their best to get over that situation. International players are back after playing with their National teams and the team must be the best one in the field.

Posible kickoff teams:
Osasuna: Roberto Santamaría; Echaide, David García, Miguel Flaño, Cadamuro; Nekounam, Raoul Loé; Sisi, Torres, Cedrick; Nino.

Tenerife: Roberto Gutiérrez; Javi Moyano, Carlos Ruiz, Unai Albizua, Raúl Cámara; Vitolo, Aitor Sanz; Suso Santana, Maxi Pérez, Guarrotxena; Diego Ifrán.

GORA OSASUNA! AUPA ROJILLOS!

Osasuna-Tenerife, more than three points

See the article in this blog: 10 years in First Division and Tenerife-Osasuna ( 13th September 2009 )
The second half of the season 09-10 starts this afternoon at the Reyno de Navarra.
It was last 13th September when I started, as I said then, a weekly article about Osasuna matches in the Spanish League, and later I was happier to write about the week match of Osasuna in La Copa del Rey.

But everything is over, La Copa and the first half of this season. Now we have to wait till next season to dream with another final like the one in 2005 in Madrid and we only have to wait for Sunday to come to talk about Osasuna and football.

I've already said last week that it depended in the final result to see what we can expect of our players. They won, better said, they not only won, Osasuna players played one of their best games away this season ( that could be the main reason for Valverde's destitution ) and got three more points to settle in a comfortable 9th position in League.

Today it's C.D. Tenerife to visit our stadium. Tenerife is supposed to be one of those teams of the so-called, for me too, Liga de los Modestos. Tenerife is in the relegation positions and if Osasuna win for more than two goals, not only they'll almost reach the 30 points frontier, but they'll relegate the dangerous positions to a more comfortable 12 points and the goalaverage in their favour with Tenerife.

This second half of the League is very important for us to improve the figures-points at home. Osasuna have shown a better play away than home and that should change as soon as possible, because our main rivals in that "second League" are going to be visitors in the Reyno de Navarra.

Finally, as I said last week, there are few things/players to desire from any other team in the Spanish League, but I hope we won't miss our own players either, those like Juanfran, not playing today for healthy problems or other players' problems like Pandiani's. Let's hope Osasuna players' concentration will be the highest for this match, different from their concentration in their game against Racing in Copa.

Kickoff teams
Osasuna: Ricardo, Sergio, Flaño, Monreal, Azpilicueta, Neokunam, Puñal, Camuñas, Masoud, Calleja and Pandiani.

Tenerife: Aragoneses, Luna, Manolo, Sicilia, M. Bertrán, Ricardo, M. Alonso, Kome, Juanlu, Alfaro and Nino

Referee: González Vázquez. Kickoff time: 17.00 Stadium: Reyno de Navarra

P.D. : Don't forget the score in Tenerife ( 2-1 )
Gora Osasuna! Aupa Rojillos!
