Jorge Luis Borges

Jorge Luis Borges was born in Buenos Aires on August 24, 1899. Under the influence of his English grandmother was literated in English and Spanish . In 1914, he traveled with his family to Europe and there came into contact with the traism. In 1921 ,he returned to Buenos Aires and other major writers founded the journal PROA . In 1923, he published his firt book of poems "Fervor de Buenos Aires" . Since that time his eyes were sick , suffering successive catarate operations and almost completely lost sight in 1995. Borges died in Geneve in June 14 , 1986.
