Osasuna-Hercules, a historic confrontation

Good afternoon, dear Osasunists! Today we hope to enjoy the visit of an old friend, that's the way I could name Hercules F.C. for many reasons. First, because I have some friend living in Alicante since 2005 ( though I met Ana a long time ago, 1993, actually ). Another reason is the last visit of Hercules as a First Division team; it was a long time ago, 25 years, in 1985 and one of the most famous Argentinan forwards, Kempes, was part of that team, while the loved Echeverria, Iriguibel and Martin were the three forwards in Osasuna.

Now football has evolved a lot 5ince then, but Hercules F.C. visits the new El Sadar ( Reyno de Navarra stadium ) as a powerful team with good famous football players as David Trezeguet,Royston Drenthe, or the ex-Osasuna player Portillo. Therefore, Hercules F.C. is no longer a modest team in First Division as it shows in the classification ( the same number of win, draw and lost games as Osasuna, and only because the number of goals Osasuna is ahead ).

As I said it is a motivating game for me. I remember my old football albums when Osasuna wasn't in them and Hercules F.C. was one of the most ancient teams in Spanish League. And it was also one of my first confrotations I watched in El Sadar ( as it could be seen in the photo above )

If we talk about the match for this afternoon, we must say that this game is between two irregular teams, which were expected to fulfill their supporters expectations. Hercules F.C. got a dramatic victory at Nou Camp while Osasuna was defeated at Santiago Bernabeu, but after a good match of Camacho's team ( 1-0, taking into account the last spectacular results of Mou's team ).

Let's see what these two teams offer the audience. Osasuna showed their best in their last hme game against Malaga ( 3-0 ), but Osasunists are disappointed after last defeat at El Sardinero ( 4-1 ). There some doubts with the kickoff team, but it seems that Camacho trusts on Juanfran and Masoud's genius who will go with Puñal and Nekouman to lead the midfield of Osasuna and win Hercules F.C. Aranda must make Osunists forget Pandiani's injury with the help of Soriano. Damiá, Lolo, Flaño and Monreal will try to protect Ricardo's goal.
