Osasuna-Sporting, the best young club players generators
Before I start to talk about today's confrontation in Pamplona, I'd like to comment about the first victory of Osasuna in this season, away and against Valladolid, one of those teams of "the other league".
It was a strange match and there were twenty dull minutes in the first half, when neither Osasuna nor Valladolid worried Jacobo or Ricardo's goals, but five minutes later Walter Pandiani scored the first goal with Jacobo's help, who didn't know how to clear. And it became much better when Paradas Romero, the referee, sent Prieto off the pitch as he grasped Aranda when the Osasuna player headed towards Jacobo's goal.
Then the second half seemed to be easy for the Navarrian team, but a strike of luck became the game more interesting, but a new young player from Osasuna, J.Galán, made his first debut with a goal and gave Osasuna their first away three points.
Galan's debut is a perfect excuse to talk about the game against Sporting. The team from Gijon and Osasuna are two good examples of football teams which look after their local young players and give them good opportunities to play in first division.
If we take both squads and their possible initial teams for today we could show their politics with five navarrians in Osasuna team: Oier, Miguel Flaño, Josetxo, Monreal y Puñal and eight young club players from Sporting: Sastre, Gerard, Iván Hernández, Canella, Michel, Maldonado, Diego Castro y Barral.
Sporting-Osasuna is another confrontation of "the other league". It's imposible to compare with games like F.C. Barcelona-R.Madrid whose team budget are ten times bigger, but it's a football match for those young players who dream to play in their local teams.
I hope Osasuna win and both teams Osasuna and Sporting stay in first division in the end of this season.
Aupa Rojillos!
