Hernan Cortes's biography

Hernan Cortes was born in Medellin,Extremadura,Spain. He learned to write and read, but he prefered to be a soldier.

His parents sent him to the university of Salamanca to study laws. But in 1504
he abandoned the university , to go to the New World (America.

He went to Santo Domingo. He established there and started the order of Diego de Velazquez , he built a new city : Santa Maria de la Victoria and proclamed capitan-general under the power of the king . The king gave him the title of marques .

He died in Spain on 1547, 2nd of December.
