Osasuna-Racing, time to go ahead
Good afternoon, dear Osasunists! Our team start their three consecutive games at El Sadar against Racing Santander, and this game is also the last one before the end of the first leg of La Liga. Osasuna has got 26 points and they are fifth in the championship, therefore they could go to Europe next season.
Remember that Osasuna and Racing played in the week for La Copa del Rey. Both lost their matches and were eliminated, but their rivals were completely different. While Osasuna had to struggle against the powerful Barça, and the chairman was very angry after the game in the capital of Barcelona- If Messi is with stomach problems, I have "ball" pains, he said. On the other hand, Racing was eliminated by a second division team: Mirandes and their Hindi chairman, Ali Syed, is missing.
The "Reds" from Pamplona, los 'rojillos',have gained 12 points and they haven't lost in their last six games. Osasuna have not lost any game in El Sadar in La Liga, and it was last Thursday against F.C. Barcelona when they lost their first game home.
The good news is that Mendilibar can use most of his best players for this afternoon game, except for the great captain Patxi Puñal ( sanctioned ), and apart from the long term injured Roversio Rodrigues, Kike Sola, Masoud Shojaei and Jon Echaide. We should keep El Sadar as the best fortress for our team and we must take into account that Racing is a direct rival for our main target: to avoid relegation to Second Division!!
Besides, Racing Santander need to get points for that same aim. They know that Rayo and Zaragoza are pushing up, but their coach, out of the three in charge, also knows that his football players ,and supporters overall, are quite sad and disappointed for their elimination in La Copa del Rey, the manage of the club by their chairman and other things.
Let's see what happens this afternoon, but it would be a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. First, Osasuna can relegate Racing to lower positions and the team from Pamplona may make their fifth post sure for another week.
Kickoff teams:
Osasuna: Andrés Fernández; Marc Bertrán or Damià, Sergio, Miguel Flaño, Satrústegui; Nekounam, Timor; Ibrahima, Lamah, Annunziata; Nino.
Racing: Toño; Álvaro, Torrejón, Bernardo, Cisma; Munitis, Diop, Colsa, Acosta; Adrián and Stuani.
The referee is Clos Gomez ( and by the way, this is the third time he has to lead the game between both teams )
