LEGEND : The bat color

Once there was a beautiful bat. It was the most beautiful creature of creation, because in their quest to look like the rest of the birds, went up to heaven and asked the operator to possess feathers. He replied that he had her permission to apply to other birds their best writers. And he did. He devoted himself to ask the feathers of those specimens most spectacular and colorful.

After a collection time, the bat looked, proud, her dramatic new look. Flitted across the land reveling in his image. Even once, with the echo of their flight sparked a wonderful rainbow. All animals watching him fascinated by the dazzling image. However, the compliments began to take its toll on him. Pride took over his reasoning. Looked down upon the rest of the birds, which he considered inferior to him by her beauty.

Felt that no other animal was at his height. To complained that the hummingbird that were not as graceful as him. Considered that there was another most important quality is not the physical aspect. The remaining birds were felt humiliated before the flight of bats. Your continued swagger became unbearable for the entire animal kingdom, and his offense came to the attention of the creator. He decided to intervene.

After observing the attitude of the beautiful bat, he did call and go to heaven. He was flattered to be required by the supreme being and his ego was raised with him. In the presence of the operator, began to flicker with unbridled joy. Fluttered over and over again, letting go, unconsciously, of all his beautiful feathers.

Suddenly, it was discovered naked, as the beginning of time. Embarrassed, down to earth, taking refuge in caves and refusing vision. For days, colored feathers rained it did not want to see, trying to forget how beautiful it once was. Since then, the bat lived in seclusion in the dark, regretting his selfish attitude.
