Osasuna-Sevilla, 10 finals which start today
Good morning, dear Osasunists! Sevilla F.C. visits Pamplona after beating their hatred neighbour at Liga Europa last Thursday in an intense match with extra-time and penalties included. Also, in the home championship, Unai Emery's team are in their best moment, as they have won their last four games to reach the so-called last European post: 7th.
It is true that after that exhausting game against Betis to get classified for quarter finals in Liga Europa, they may think that their comfortable position in La Liga let them rest for a day and think of their next rival in Europe, as Valencia C.F., their followers are 8 points behind. Besides, the fifth position is only two points away and as we know the Basque coach, he will force his players to fight for the last post for the Champions League up to the end of the season.
Therefore, Sevilla is a very dangerous rival for Osasuna at El Sadar. They have nothing to lose and a lot to win. However, El Sadar is an evil stadium for the club of La Giralda, as they have only won once in their last 13 games played in Pamplona. It was in the season 2009-10, when Kanouté and Negredo scored for the last three points got at El Sadar.
In the last two confrontations, Osasuna and Sevilla played very important games, overall for the LITTLE REDS ( LOS ROJILLOS ) as they avoided relegation ( 2-1 ) last year before visiting Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu in the last game of the season. Three years before, the situation was similar as they ended the season in Madrid, but there were three games left by then. The games were won in extremis as last year Puñal and Cejudo's goal had to overcome the previous goal of Negredo. Nevertheless, in 2010 it was even worse as the score was 1-2 for Sevilla and Osasuna were heading to Second Division, when in the minute 87 Kike Sola scored his second goal and Leka, in extremis, in the last minute scored the salvation goal, a chimera just three minutes before. GORA OSASUNA! AUPA ROJILLOS!

Sevilla F.C. against C.A. Osauna, el clasico at Sanchez Pizjuan
Añadir leyenda |
Good morning, dear Osasunists!
As I used to say from the very beginning of the season we must face the crazy schedule of the games in La Liga during all the year through. Last game it was on a Saturday afternoon and against Sevilla, Osasuna plays on a Sunday morning. At least it isn't in spring or a hot weekend, as we know the weather could be another handicap for our team. Anyway, I think midday is a good time for a supporter goes to the stadium, but a strange one to go to a tavern to watch on TV.
Sevilla and Osasuna meet at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in order to get a desired victory to content their supporters and brush away their doubts on a suspectful style with shadows and bright moments as Osasuna is in relegation posts and Sevilla is only three points ahead.
Unai Emery, Sevilla's coach, is worried as their play is weird with many defence weaks and the lack of leadership, but on the other hand the Hispalis team got four consecutive matches without losing as they won at their stadium against Rayo Vallecano and Almeria, and they got two points in their visits to Donosti and Valladolid.
Osasuna, on the other hand, got a better score than the expected in their last two games as they got a draw against the powerful Barça at El Sadar, and they did their best to win at La Rosaleda in their last game away from Navarra. Their play has improved and they seem to feel more confident playing in different stadiums from their own. They even played their best in their last decade in La Liga. Nevertheless, Osasuna is still in relegation post, but the tenth post is only a victory away.
If we talk about Osasuna away from El Sadar, their results are varied: they lost against Athletic (2-0), Getafe (2-1) and Atletico de Madrid (2-1), and they only got a single but extraordinary victory in MĂĄlaga (0-1).
Javi Gracia, Osasuna's coach, can only use 18 players since the rest of the players in the team are either injured or sanctioned: Nino, Armenteros, Sisi, Raoul Loe, Ion Echaide, and Cejudo. The Navarrian coach must change his last kickoff list with a Navarrian ( remember that Osasuna played without any Navarrian in their last confrontation against Barça ) : Patxi Puñal, who will substitute Sisi, a player who won't play any longer this season after his injury at El Sadar. CHEER UP, SISI!!!!
Posible Kickoff teams:
Sevilla: Beto; Diogo Figueiras, Carriço, Nico Pareja, Alberto Moreno; Iborra, Rakitic; Jairo, VĂctor MachĂn, Perotti; Bacca.
Osasuna: Andrés Fernåndez; Marc Bertrån, Loties, Arribas, Damiå; Lolo, Puñal; De las Cuevas, Torres, Silva; Oriol Riera.
GORA OSASUNA! AUPA ROJILLOS!

Osasuna-Sevilla, THE MATCH
Good afternoon, dear Osasunists!
Our club need us, all Osasuna supporters and lovers. It's all or nothing, the last game in El Sadar this season and against one of the most hatred teams in the last decade: SEVILLA F.C. They are coming to Pamplona in their last chance to go to Europe and Sevilla supporters still have some bad memories from their visits to our stadium.
After three weeks and the same number of matches, Osasuna is at the same situation that Mendilibar defined with a sentence: we are the best of the candidates to relegate in Second Division. The only thing we must do is TO WIN. We depend on ourselves, but it is the last chance to keep in First Division, as Osasuna play at El Santiago bernabeu the last match of the season and nobody will give a chance for Osasuna there.
Mendilibar's team will have our support today from the very beginning of the match till the final whistle of the referee, by the way, he is Muñiz Fernandez, bad memories recall his name. The stadium will be crowded and we will go with our team towards the victory. Our rivals to avoid relegation have similar hard confrontations, as both Deportivo and Zaragoza play away from their stadiums and against Malaga and Betis, that they are struggling for a post to Europe.
The handicap of Osasuna is endemic: the sanctioned and injured players. However, Mendilibar can use the captain Patxi Puñal again, there are many players out: Nino, Nano, Lolo, Sisi, Annan, and the second captain, Miguel Flaño. One of the strongest lines in history for Osasuna is the weakest this season: defense. Ruben and Arribas seem to be in the centre with the help of Marc and Damia in both wings.
The footballers are very tense as we noticed at the end of the week with the fight between Armenteros and Timor, but the rival isn't at home, they come from Sevilla. There are many games to remember to look for revenge in both teams. We hope to help the other team in Sevilla, MUCHO BETIS, for their goal for this season: to play in the European League.
There are some positive facts for Osasuna to get a victory this evening, as Sevilla F.C. didn't win many games away this season, just one against Deportivo last September, but in their last three games away they got three consecutive draws against Betis, Valladolid and Malaga.
Probable kickoff teams:
Club Atlético Osasuna: Andrés Fernåndez; Marc Bertrån, Rubén, Arribas, Damià ; Puñal, Silva; Cejudo, Armenteros, De las Cuevas; y Kike Sola.
Sevilla FĂștbol Club: Beto; Coke, Cala, BotĂa, Fernando Navarro; Medel, Kongogbia; JesĂșs Navas, Rakitic, Perotti; y Negredo.
GORA OSASUNA!AUPA ROJILLOS!

Sevilla-Osasuna, Happy New Football Year!
Dear Three Wise Men,
Tonight is your night! Many children are willing this day to come during all the year along, but I am not a child any longer though I have many desires to accomplish!
First, I want my present early this evening! Osasuna is playing at Sanchez Pizjuan stadium against the local Sevilla F.C., and my team needs a victory to avoid relegation at the end of the season in June. I know that many other children and adults in that city might desire the same, but for their team: Sevilla F.C.
Sevilla F.C. is a team used to playing in high positions in the Liga classification, but this season, Michel, Sevilla's coach, has been about to resign before Christmas. It has been a nightmare since the beginning of this season as the team only got 8 out of 36 possible points.
Perhaps, there will be a coach with coal for a present tonight, because Osasuna's coach, Mendilibar, is also in trouble. After the disappointment of losing against Granada before the holidays, Osasuna must win and leave the dangerous posts in La Liga.
It's the first game of 2013, Happy New Year, by the way, and the players' market is open again. Osasuna have already spent some money in a valuable goalkeeper: Ricardo, an old friend in Pamplona who was living a comfortable life with his family, as he said, and has signed for Osasuna to substitute the injured Riesgo. It seems to be the first signature, but not the last, as it is expected to sign De Las Cuevas, from Sporting Gijon, before the market close or another ex-friend at El Sadar: Nekounam.
Osasuna only won three games in this season after thirteen games, but this month may be a disaster if we have a look to their confrontations: Sevilla, Real Madrid, Deportivo,..and the leg against Valencia in Copa del Rey.
Possible kickoff teams:
Diego LĂłpez; Navarro, Spahic, Fazio, Cicinho; Medel, Kondogbia; Navas Rakitic, Reyes and Negredo.
Andrés; Damiå, Flaño, Rubén, Nano; Cejudo, Puñal, Loé, Armenteros; Nino and Sola.
Gora Osasuna! Aupa Rojillos!
P.S. : Another present I would like to get is a complet outfit of Osasuna and the season ticket to see my team at El Sadar!

Sevilla-Osasuna, a game for the European positions
Good evening, dear Osasunists! There is football on Saturday night! Osasuna is playing against Sevilla F.C. at their stadium Sanchez Pizjuan, before their supporters who see this match as one of their last opportunities to get European positions. As they changed coach on the bench, Marcelino was substituted by Michel, but they lost the first game a week ago. They are also worried because players are still under pressure and their relationships are going worse and worse, as we realized after the fight between Medel and Spahic last weekend.
It is the right moment to watch it worldwide, as La Sexta TV station is broadcasting the match. Osasuna got a surprising victory against the powerful Barça last weekend, and on the other hand Sevilla F.C., in the spite of the good beginning this season on Champions League positions, is closer to relegation posts now, just three points from Racing. They have lost their last eight consecutive matches, and they last won a match on 5th December against Getafe F.C.
Mendilibar's team is also playing very irregular this season. Despite the fact that Osasuna won Barça last week, the players in Osasuna aren't doing their best after New Year. Osasuna hadn't won in 2012 in their stadium until Guardiola's team got shock and cold after a brilliant half an hour of good play from the players in Pamplona.
It seemed that the help of Osasuna supporters at the old Sadar was enough to obtain the aim of our club: to keep in First Division, but Mendilibar has improved the players' minds and they are very aggresive and motivated in their games away Osasuna's stadium. The last defeat of Osasuna as a visitor team was on 6th November against the second powerful team in this Spanish League, though they are first in the actual classification. You know what team am I talking about?
Michel, the actual coach in Sevilla must struggle to take control in the dressing room, and he needs every player from his team. He is including Medel and Spahic for tonight's match and he can use Escudé again. There is still a doubt on Reyes, a player that was incorporated in winter from Atletico, but he is considered as a bad influence in Sevilla. Osasuna must take that into account and use it to get Sevilla nervous. It is a good game to watch and the best opportunity for Osasuna to show that the match against Barça wasn't a dream!

Osasuna-Sevilla, the Ave Fenix match
Osasuna and Sevilla start a new week game after a "horribilis" weekend game in Barcelona. Osasuna lost against Guardiola's team 8-0 and we, the supporters, are still waiting for Mendilibar's team. From the very beginning, it was clear that most players of Osasuna were trembling and absent at the Nou Camp.
After the shame, players and trainer apologized for their game in Barcelona and the image they represented. It was a shock to know that it was a record of goals in the defeat, though a newspaper even increased it up to 16 goals!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, now the rival is Sevilla F.C. and it is a good team to start the revival of a team with a lot of expectations. It is true that there are many new faces in the team and some injured too! Anyway, after three games, Osasuna got four points for a draw in Madrid, against Atletico, and a victory at the Reyno de Navarra.
We, the supporters, need a victory to keep the ilusion and faith on the team. Last year, Osasuna and Sevilla offered a good show and our team got a difficult victory ( 3-2 ) when they were losing 0-2 for most part of the match.
Let's see what happens this evening!

Osasuna-Sevilla, D-Day for salvation
Good evening, dear Osasunists! There is football tonight!!
Yes, if Osasuna was in relegation posts two weeks ago and there was an urgent need to face the last five games as they were finals, the victories against Valencia and Zaragoza have made that tranquility and the dependency to otther teams results are relegated now.
The danger is still near Osasuna, but the match against Sevilla is the best opportunity to seal the season 2011/12 in First Division. It depends on the players concentration and professionality to start the match as it were the last of the season.
The rival, Sevilla, arrives at The Reyno de Navarra stadium with the obligation of taking points out od Osasuna to keep their seventh position in the League. Remember that Osasuna always play against Real Madrid rival of the previous weekend match, and Mou's team players scored six goals at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium. And Osasuna defeated Zaragoza, that won Real Madrid at their stadium 15 days ago. Statistics are to break through, but it is clear that the League is mad now!!
Another good point for Osasuna is that as it happened last weekend, they will close the games of this week, and they will know the results of their rivals in advance, so they can be hypermotivated for their match tonight or calm down and think of a better game with no hesitation! There will be other two opportunities to achieve the final target: to mantain First Division!
We also know that Osasuna play at home and that is another positive point to achieve the final goal. It is the so called "number 12" and we must show our support with the players and there will be time for criticism at the end of the season! There are other teams with more needs before the end of the season and they also played yesterday. I mean Hercules, Deportivo or Zaragoza.
As a supporter, I hope that players won't let us suffer as they did against Zaragoza, when they started playing very dull and they finally got the three points after playing a bit better in the second half and with two lucky goals! We need to calm down and increase our support as the match goes on.
Finally, do not forget that the rival is Sevilla and even they arrive without famous injured players like CĂĄceres, Alexis, Fernando Navarro, Navas and Rakitic, Romanic is sanctioned and Perotti is not in a good condition, they may want to improve their image before Real Madrid.tiene la duda de Perotti y pierde por sanciĂłn a Romaric. The team from the south have always plyed tense games against Osasuna and their behaviour is almost violent and against the rules, so Osasuna will always need the support of the number 12, we, the Osasunists!!!

Football is back for New Year
Happy New Year, dear Osasunists!
Football is back after Christmas and with the New Year an old enemy is back to confront with: Sevilla F.C.
Before I talk about the game, I would like to comment about last football news. Remember the match this evening has been about to be cancelled due to a players strike, as they complain these dates are off in their labour calendar. For first time, I don't know if the last, I support LFP( the employers-bussinessmen ) and I'm against the AFE ( employees-footballers ), as they didn't say a single word in September when the calendar was approved, and if footballers want to support their colleagues as they don't receive their salaries, I suppose there are other ways which may help to solve their situation!
On the other hand, in the ancient spoken English country, that is, England, one of the best League in the world, these days there have been lots of games for the joy of children and parents. In England, there are many games in 10 days (remember they don't celebrate the Three Wise Men Day- the 6th of January ). Everybody is back duty the day after New Year's Day ( Monday 3rd, this year ). Players consider as a duty and joy to play at Christmas.
Spain is different! And Osasuna is playing in Spain, luckily or unfortunately, and in fact today they are playing is the centre of Spain, not the capital as I know, but the very influencing Seville. A wonderful nice city with very special non-trustable people there!Quite gypsies!
Anyway, both teams are suffering this season to fulfill their goals! Sevilla was out of the Champions League very early and they changed coach before Christmas ( Jimenez no se comió el turrón!- no translation!!) and the race for the League was very far for this team too early too, and now everybody knows the championship is either for Barça or the white team from the capital of Spain ( remember my policy ).
Osasuna is starting the year 2011 away from the Reyno, and need to break their record of a year without winning an away game. It may be a good moment this evening against Sevilla F.C. and so Camacho can earn the respect and love he's demanding from us, Osasuna supporters!
Let's see what happens, and who knows?Maybe, the Three Wise Men bring Camacho his desire!!
Gora Osasuna!Aupa Rojillos!
