A car accident in the way to Portugal by Diego Cameirao

 
This summer my family and me went to Portugal for holidays. But no one knew what would happen in this trip in car.We left home at 7 o´clock to get Portugal the earliest possible time. Several hours later, but it didn´t happen anything.

But when we arrived in Zamora, at 4 pm there wasn´t a way to go into Portugal. We went around all Zamora to find this way. We spent some hours in the car and the night arrived. Without realizing that my father got sleep, we crashed into a house. And it caused that my parents died and my brother was seriously injured.

The worst of all was that there weren´t any hospitals around. All our mobile phones were broken.

I took my brother some kilometres but I was tired and I had to leave him near a forest, because if I had caught him during all the way, I´d have died with him.

A lot of hours walking made me want to be in home and not have done that trip.

By that time I had found Pinelo, the village of my father. I told my family what had happened some hours before. All my family got surprised because I had survived in the accident.

In the end, we called the police to find my parents and my brother. They took several days and after that they went to the hospital with me. The happiness in that moment was unforgettable.

It was  a wonderful day, I wanted to go hiking with my brother in a mountain near to my city even I invited a friend to go  with us but he didn't go. I  got up early and said to my brother " If you dont wake up, we will late" ,so my brother got up and we got ready for the journey, we hoped to have lunch at the top of the mountain.

We went to this mountain, the weather was good  while we were climbing the mountain,  we  saw many animals such as: birds, squirrels and bugs , after a while we arrived to the middle of the mountain, a woodland, in this moment the weather worsened  and started to rain.

Suddenly, a lightning stroke a tree  and fell over my brother and broke his leg. He started to cry, I tried out of there and put him in a safe place. My brother couldn´t  walk, and he started to lose a lot of blood. If I didn´t stop the blood, he would die. I didn´t know what to do. So I left my brother alone and I went for help, the weather was going worse from time to time.  I heard thundering near down the mountain,  but I slip and crashed into a tree. I broke my arm  but I continued  because I didn't want my brother to die. Maybe if  I had not told him to come, he wouldn´t have been in the edge of death.

I arrived at the foot of the mountain but I fainted from exhaustion, I woke up in the city hospital, I asked the nurse for my  brother but she said  that if I hadn´t left him in that place, the rescue team couldn't have found him.  I was relief. If my brother hadn´t survived,  I would have felt really bad , but that never happened.

OSCAR THE BUTCHER 

This story happened in a village in the United Sates. He had a poor family where the father was a very violent butcher, he always drank, the mother had a small mental problem and she always mistreated. they had a son, Oscar, his family was crazy but he was normal.

Every day the carnage of the father was worse and also its character and he also drank more and more. Oscar's dad became so mad that he killed his wife and prepared it in a soup. That night the father and Oscar ate dinner and Oscar asked: " Where's Mummy?". His father's reply was terrifying: she is in your belly, you just ate her. She was in the soup.

Those terrifying words upset the child and that night the father killed himself in the forest.

Last time Oscar crazy and decided to continue business of his father but now with human flesh, Oscar came out every night with his knife in search vagrants, he always killed the same, cut their belly and pulled their guts when still alive and then sold the meat.

Sherlock Holmes, a famous character in the cinema

Tomorrow it's the release of the last film about a famous character for young readers and movie fans: Sherlock Holmes. But who's Sherlock Holmes?
Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries who first appeared in publication in 1887. He is the creation of Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A brilliant London-based "consulting detective", Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess and is renowned for his skillful use of astute observation, deductive reasoning and forensic skills to solve difficult cases.

Conan Doyle wrote four novels and fifty-six short stories that feature Holmes. The first story, A Study in Scarlet, appeared in Beeton's Christmas Annual in 1887 and the second, The Sign of the Four, in Lippincott's Monthly Magazine in 1890. The character grew tremendously in popularity with the beginning of the first series of short stories in The Strand Magazine in 1891; further series of short stories and two serialised novels appeared until 1927. The stories cover a period from around 1880 up to 1907, with a final case in 1914.

All but four stories are narrated by Holmes' friend and biographer, Dr. John H. Watson; two are narrated by Holmes himself, and two others are written in the third person. In two stories ("The Musgrave Ritual" and "The Adventure of the Gloria Scott") Holmes tells Watson the main story from his memories, whereas Watson becomes the narrator of the frame story.

Conan Doyle said that the character of Holmes was inspired by Dr. Joseph Bell, for whom Doyle had worked as a clerk at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Like Holmes, Bell was noted for drawing large conclusions from the smallest observations.
